The clinics are open to anyone and the vaccine is free. Clinics are planned for:
-- Dec. 8 -- 5 to 9 p.m. at Clark Middle School.
--Dec. 16 -- 1 to 7 p.m. at Northway Mall.
--Dec. 22 -- 2 to 8 p.m. at Gruening Middle School.
--Dec. 29 -- 2 to 8 p.m. at Romig Middle School.
The city held one clinic at the University of Alaska Anchorage on Nov. 21 but canceled others that had been scheduled for November and early December. It decided the limited swine flu vaccine on hand was best used by private providers, public health clinics and the Anchorage School District, which is vaccinating students in their schools.
But now the city is confident it will have enough vaccine for the rescheduled clinics, said Jayson Smart, deputy director of the city health department.
