Suspects sought in Eagle River robbery

Anchorage police are looking for help in locating two suspects who entered the International Food Store on the 11800 block of the Old Glenn Highway in Eagle River at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 11 and robbed the owner, Alan Wetzel. Wetzel was beaten by the robbers and his injuries were so severe they could have resulted in his death. Descriptions of the suspects: Suspect No. 1: Asian male, 6 feet or taller, thin build, in his late 20s or early 30s, clean-cut with short, dark hair.

Suspect No. 2: Asian male, 5-foot-10, average build, with bushy, unkempt hair.

Anyone with information that may help further this investigation is asked to call Anchorage police detective Darin Creary at 786-2654 or Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP, or to submit a tip online and anonymously using the secure Web site: www.anchorage crimestoppers.com.

Crimestoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information resulting in the arrest of a wanted felon or the solving of a felony crime. The initial report must be to Crime Stoppers to be eligible for the reward. All calls are confidential.
