• Anchorage Women's Clinic has announced the recent addition of Dr. Lisa Johnson, FACOG. Johnson will see patients for complete well woman and OB/GYN care. Johnson comes to Anchorage from Watertown, N.Y. She graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed her residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu. Prior to moving to Anchorage, Johnson served our country in Iraq.
• State Senate President Gary Stevens, R-Kodiak, has appointed two members of the Senate Bipartisan Working Group to serve as ex-officio members of the board of the Anchorage Economic Development Corp. Sen. Johnny Ellis, D-Anchorage, and Sen. Lesil McGuire, R-Anchorage, are the newest board members. The AEDC is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to encourage growth and diversity in the Anchorage economy. • USKH Inc. has announced two new principals of the company: Greg McCracken, AIA, and Steve Kari, P.E. McCracken is the director of architecture for USKH, has been with the company since 2005, and is a member of the board of directors. His projects include the Madison School District's Madison High School, Anchorage School District's West High School and Romig Middle School Master Planning. Kari, the transportation division manager, has been with the company since 1995, and is a member of the board of directors. He is working on designs for the Mountain Air Drive Extension and the 100th Avenue Extension: C Street to King Street in Anchorage. • V. Kay Lahdenpera, BSN, MPH, was inducted into the Alaska Nurses Association Hall of Fame at the October annual meeting. She will be the seventh nurse so honored in the organization's 50-plus year history. Hall of Fame inductees are chosen based on significant contributions to the state and the profession demonstrating devotion and commitment to the highest ideals of the profession of nursing. Lahdenpera is executive director of the Alaska Youth and Parent Foundation, and an instructor at UAA. • Caroline Field has joined Resource Data Inc.'s Anchorage office as a business analyst. She worked as a contractor for the Department of Defense for four years. Her experience with software development includes analysis and specifications, product support, testing, product design, project management, and product implementation. As a technical writer, Field created a document library for all phases of the software development life-cycle for DOD's Defense Information Systems Agency. Tom Lewis joins RDI's Anchorage office as a senior programmer/analyst. Lewis has more than 20 years of computer programming experience. He is an applications specialist with experience in systems analysis, architecture, and design. His technical expertise includes C#, VB.NET and C++. • The Physical Therapy Place, LLC, has announced the addition of physical therapist Irene Jordet to the practice. Jordet brings 10 years of experience and specializes in women's health and orthopedics.
