The undefeated UAA women's basketball team moved up two spots to No. 4 in the nation in the USA Today/ESPN Division II poll released Tuesday.
The Seawolves (6-0) last week twice beat Nyack in Fairbanks. They entertain BYU-Hawaii on Friday night and Grand Canyon on Saturday night in the AT&T Classic at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex. UAA last month won its fourth straight Great Alaska Shootout. Michigan Tech (5-0) remained No. 1 in the poll and earned 23 of 26 first-place votes. Franklin Pierce of New Hampshire (5-0) stayed No. 2 and Delta State of Mississippi (7-0) moved up one spot to No. 3. The only other ranked school from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, the league in which UAA plays, is No. 19 Seattle Pacific.
