BANISH TICKET-MASTER, MAKE MONEY FOR MUNI

By now most people realize that former Mayor Begich and his rubber stamp six on the assembly created the financial mess the city currently sits in. However, it does no good to dredge up the past and tell those seven "It's all your fault." We must learn from the past but leave it where it is.

Many citizens are going to the assembly trying to preserve their little piece of the budget.

But there is not enough money to keep everyone happy. We need new ideas, new sources of revenue outside the tax cap. Here is one such idea: eliminate Ticketmaster from all city venues.

I recently purchased two $40.00 tickets for an upcoming event at the Egan Center. An additional $7.25 per ticket went directly to Ticketmaster. If the city handled all ticket sales they could collect a reduced fee, saving everyone a few dollars, while at the same time increasing city revenue. The only loser in the deal would be Ticketmaster, but no one cares about them anyway.

THEY CUT MY TREES BY MISTAKE!

On Friday, 12/4/09 someone chain sawed down 2 large birch trees in my yard. I was shocked, thinking I was a victim of vandalism. I called the Police and submitted a report. Inspecting the damage, I noticed that the trees had been cut down quite professionally, as to not fall on the house or fence. The job seems to have been interrupted, due to the mess that was left. I contacted some neighbors - to warn them of a possible maniac on the loose - only to discover that a tree removal truck had been at my house that day. Could it be that one of the local tree removal company employees made a mistake? Do you know where your employees were that day? I would expect the parties to fess up and do the right thing and come back and finish the job and clean up the mess... because they were polite enough to close the gate when they left in a hurry.

GORE'S A FLAT-EARTHER

The human being was designed to seek truth and reflect it. But who is seeking truth and reflecting it in the "settled" global warming debate?

Very few, and fewer yet among our celebrity politicians and media, from Alfred the Great Gore, to Juan Williams, the Slothful, both ardent flat-earthers who insist on their non-stop promotion of poor distorted science put to the task of furthering their political agendas and bias, irregardless of more reputable scientific research, growing dissent, and damning email evidence of corruption at the core of the "man-caused" global warming movement. Scientific research shows that thousands of years ago, the earth sustained itself with over 10 times current levels of CO2, with a population miniscule compared to the 6 plus billions today. But who has time to seek truth or consider other evidence?

Frauds is the correct term to define those who wilfully participate in the current corruption of science involved in the climate change debate, and the public allows itself to be dupted by these scam artists who, driven by laziness, partisanship and greed, use any means at their disposal to achieve their ends.

It is time to stand up and do what we were designed for, or face the consequences of being led by those who have become corrupted.
