Dimond went unbeaten through the CIC regular season and Chugiak shot a conference record early in the season, but it was South that came through in the region meet, finishing 10 points ahead of the Lynx.

The Wolverines claimed the title for the second year in a row with a first-place score of 2,266. Dimond was second at 2,256 followed by Service (2,243) and Chugiak (2,235).

Leah Gamble's 572 led the Wolverines with Amber Poston (570), Lauren Pearce (564) and Lisa Clemens (560) rounding out the team score.

The difficulty for runner-up Dimond was picking a top four for its A Team from an extremely deep squad. The Dimond B Team, which shot on Friday, actually ended up with a higher score than the A squad and the C team wasn't far behind, posting a score of 2,216 that would've finished sixth among the A Teams.

Tadashi Kibe's 577 led the Dimond A Team and was the top score shot during the team competition.

In the individual competition Martin and West's Alex Lorentz finished tied with scores of 665 at the conclusion of the 10-person final flight. The shooters went to a best-shot tie-breaker. On the first three shots they had identical scores before Martin posted a higher score on the fourth shot to claim the title.

Poston also won a shoot-off against Tibe for third place and Gamble finished fifth.
