BIG LAKE -- An 8-year-old girl was medevacked to Mat-Su Regional Hospital for treatment after she sustained injuries in a head-on snowmachine crash on Big Lake, according to Alaska State Troopers.

Troopers responded to the area near Shepherd's Island about 11:35 a.m. Sunday, when they learned two Polaris Indy trail snowmachines traveling in opposing directions collided.
