West advanced to the consolation round finals of the Whataburger Tournament in Dallas with a 55-50 victory Wednesday morning over Jim Ned High (Tuscola, Texas) before falling 41-40 to Wylie High (Abiline, Texas) in the afternoon. The Eagles finished the tournament with a 2-2 record.
Service 53, East 37
Service beat East in its final game of the Capital City Classic in Juneau on Wednesday.
Jordynn Ramirez scored 13 points, Natalie Barrus added 13, Brittany Jeffords had nine and Shaai Ferguson chipped in with eight for the Cougars.
Ashleigh Owens led East with 13 points.
