Carl Cochrane shows musher Peter Fleck some of his craftwork in his cabin Feb. 8, 2010, on Birch Creek near Circle. Fleck, 19, of Salisbury, England, was taking advantage of a warm cabin and Cochrane's hospitality as he rested during the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race. Cochrane lived on the banks of the river since 1969 and opened his home to the mushers each year. He died June 6.
