Former assemblyman drops out of race for his old seat

Former East Anchorage Assemblyman Paul Bauer has withdrawn from a race to regain his old Assembly seat, according to the city clerk's office. The incumbent in East Anchorage, Sheila Selkregg, is not running for re-election. Bauer's withdrawal leaves three candidates in the race: Adam Trombley, Paul Honeman and Thomas Purcell. The city election is April 6.
