Police are seeking two associates of the "person of interest" in the Dimond Center shooting Feb. 27 that left one man dead. Police say they want to talk to Anthony Neal Williams, 23, and Warren Brooks, 31, in connection with the potential involvement of a person they know, 28-year-old Terence Gray, in the mall slaying.
Edwing Matos, 29, died after he was shot several times outside a barber shop in the crowded mall. The killer, wearing an Afro wig and a fake mustache, fled the scene in a blue and white 1989 Chevrolet Suburban. Witnesses have identified Gray as its driver the day of the shooting, but he wasn't in it when police pulled it over Thursday at Tudor Road and Boniface Parkway, according to police. Police say they don't think Williams and Brooks were involved in the shooting but that they might have some information about it and about Gray, who remains at large. Williams is a black man, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Brooks a dark-skinned black man who is 6 feet 3 inches tall, 265 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call police at 786-8900.
