PALMER -- Edward N. Domrude, 23, of Wasilla, has pleaded not guilty to four charges stemming from a 2009 rollover that killed his passenger, 29-year-old Joshua A. Brown.

Alaska State Troopers at the time said Domrude was driving a 2001 Honda Accord on the Old Glenn Highway before 6 a.m. on April 25. He apparently lost control of the car on a curve and it slid into a ditch, flipped and came to rest upside down on the road, according to trooper reports at the time. Domrude climbed out of the car but Brown was trapped inside. Both men were taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for treatment. Brown was later transferred to Alaska Regional in Anchorage, where he died April 29.

Domrude is charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide, both felonies, as well as two misdemeanors: driving while under the influence and driving without a valid operator's license. He was arrested on the charges Sunday and is being held on $10,000 bail.
