Minneapolis photo op with Bachmann, Palin: $10,000

The re-election campaign of Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann is promising a "private reception with photo opportunity" with Bachmann and Sarah Palin for anyone willing to shell out $10,000 during Palin's April fundraising visit to Minneapolis. The Star Tribune politics blog reports Bachmann's re-election campaign will get about half the money and the rest will go to the Minnesota GOP. Continued on jump

At least 1,000 people quickly snatched up tickets Tuesday for a free Minneapolis rally with Sarah Palin and U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann. The Republican Party will make more available. ... Although there will be some cost to the party for the April 7 afternoon rally, the party may well make it back at a fundraiser a few hours later featuring the two Republican stars. According to an invitation, tickets to the money event cost $500.

Though Bachmann and Palin share many political views, Bachmann recently backed out of a scheduled speech at the National Tea Party Convention while Palin kept her appointment.
