The incident began Sunday around 6:30 p.m. when Hills was being questioned by a state trooper on allegations that he had stolen his mother's credit card. A truck he was driving had broken down on the highway. When the truck turned up to have been reported stolen, a trooper handcuffed Hills.
But as a tow truck arrived to take the stalled truck, Hills managed to slipped his handcuffs to the front of his body, opened the window between the backseat and driver's seat and squeezed his way through the opening.
The trooper noticed, rushed to open the driver's side door and stepped on the brake. He then subdued Hills.
