Jenkins, who was the second person found dead at an Anchorage ball field over a 24-hour period, was discovered by an Anchorage Bucs executive who was clearing out a locker room shortly after noon Tuesday. Investigators have said it is difficult to tell how long Jenkins had been in the dugout. A bottle of liquor was found between his knees.
Jenkins was the 18th person, nearly all of them homeless or familiar with life on the streets, to have been found dead or killed by accident in Anchorage since May 2009.
Charlene Shugak, 17, was found dead Monday at a Russian Jack Springs Park ballfield.
Authorities have not released a cause of death for either Jenkins or Shugak. They have said there were no signs of foul play at either site.
