Grizzlies 40, Wild 32

Published: April 24, 2010

The Alaska Wild lost 40-32 in Fairbanks on Saturday night, making it three losses in four games against the Grizzlies and falling to 2-6 in the Indoor Football League. With about two minutes to play, a Wild running back busted a long run for what looked like a touchdown to pull them within two points and an opportunity to tie the game on a two-point conversion.

After a conference by officials, it was determined the player failed to maintain control of the ball as he crossed the goal line, fumbling the ball out of the back of the end zone and turning the ball over to the Grizzlies. Fairbanks ran out the clock from there.

Fairbanks improved to 5-2, remaining in second place in the Pacific North Division behind the Billings Outlaws.
