Naylors' big match leads South boys' romp

Five of South's six goals involved a Naylor -- Zak Naylor notched two goals and three assists Tuesday, and Mike Naylor scored twice in the South boys soccer team's 6-1 victory over host Eagle River.

Senior Mike Naylor scored the first goal in the 10th minute of the Cook Inlet Conference match, assisted by Kirby Hutto.

Sophomore Zak Naylor scored the second and fourth goals, extending South's lead to 4-0 at the half.

Mitch Bustamante scored as the second half began, and the final goal belonged to Mike Naylor on an assist from Zak.

Grant Warnke added a goal and an assist.

Eagle River scored on a penalty kick near the end of the match.

Grace 2, Palmer 1

Grace Christian's John Weber contributed a goal and an assist to a 2-1 victory over Palmer on Tuesday in Northern Lights Conference boys soccer at Anchorage Football Stadium.

Jordan Edwards opened the scoring for Grace in the second minute.

Jacob Spanakle scored late for the Moose.
