The Imaginarium Discovery Center at the Anchorage Museum is a series of five science galleries and a planetarium that are designed to ignite children's curiosity and imagination which are the foundation of scientific learning. The Imaginarium will open on Saturday, May 22, 2010, and is part of the Anchorage Museum's opening celebration from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. that celebrates the completion of the museum expansion and the grand opening of several new spaces including the Imaginarium Discovery Center, Thomas Planetarium, and the Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center.
