A funeral Mass for former Alaska Gov. Walter J. Hickel has been set for May 17 in Anchorage.
The Mass will be held at 5 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Anchorage, with an hourlong visitation planned before the Mass.
Malcolm Roberts, a longtime aide to Hickel, said his family welcomes the public to attend.
Hickel died Friday of natural causes at an Anchorage assisted living facility at the age of 90.
