WHERE: Denali National Park WHAT: Annual Denali Road lottery takes place Sept. 17-20, with 400 private Alaska vehicles per day are allowed to drive the park road. Entries into lottery due this month. RUNNING Homer News Spit Run WHEN: 10 a.m., June 26 WHERE: Homer WHAT: A 10-kilometer run that on flat course ends near Lands End Resort on the Homer Spit. Post-race party on the deck of Land's End resort includes a no-host barbecue and music. Prizes awarded for the fastest man and woman.
