A group of Anchorage citizens participated in a Gulf oil spill vigil near Lynn Ary Park on World Oceans Day Tuesday, June 8, 2010, which also marks Day 50 of the oil spill. They read quotes from residents affected by the spill and had a moment of silence for the 11 oil workers who lost their lives. They later released flowers into the Cook Inlet as part of the vigil calling for government to turn to clean energy.
