-- The Anchorage Bucs took an early lead and held on for their first league win of the season, 4-2 over the Anchorage Glacier Pilots at Mulcahy Stadium on Friday.
Bob Mott picked up the win and Justin Hopper got the save. Thomas Jameson took the loss for the Glacier Pilots.
The Bucs nailed three hits in the second and third innings, scoring two runs in each inning.
-- The Kenai Peninsula Oilers remained undefeated through three games, beating the Fairbanks Goldpanners 2-1 in 10 innings at Oiler Park in Kenai on Friday night.
--The Heroes of the Diamond bring the Red White and Blue Tour to the ABL for a nine-day stretch of exhibition games starting today with a game against the Anchorage Bucs at Mulcahy.
The Heroes of the Diamond, are a team of all-stars representing all branches of the military. Players include active duty, reserve, Veterans, Delayed Entry Program and First Responders.
The Heroes of the Diamond will also play The Fairbanks Goldpanners and the Kenai Peninsula Oilers while in Alaska.
