Cordova snowstorm

Cordova residents are tunneling out after several snow storms moved through Prince William Sound.

January Valdez snowstorm

Heavy snow pounded Valdez and Cordova on January 6, 2012, after the town received 19.2 inches Thursday from the Prince William Sound blizzard, making for a season total of more than 20 feet. Meanwhile, Nome is having its worst cold spell since 1989.

25 mph Speeders

The Motorcar Operators West club put their track speeders onto the rails of the Alaska Railroad on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the Ship Creek Railroad yard. The cars were driven to a siding in preparation for the start of there Alaska tour on Thursday. The 29 obsolete and restored railroad work cars will travel the the rails from Anchorage to Fairbanks, back to Anchorage then to Seward and Whittier in the next two weeks.
