AROUND THE HORN

• The Anchorage Bucs beat the Anchorage Glacier Pilots 6-5 at Mulcahy Stadium on Saturday night.

The Pilots took a 2-0 lead off Trevor Hairgrove's two-run home run in the first inning, but the Bucs answered with three runs on three hits in the bottom of the inning to lead 3-2.

The Bucs' Chris Serritella broke a 5-5 tie in the top of the ninth when he scored the game-winning run on a throwing error by the Pilots.

The Bucs' Bret Atwood went 2 for 3 with two RBIs.

Fielding Pittman won the game, pitching 1 1/3 innings. Justin Hopper earned the save.

• The Peninsula Oilers and Athletes in Action Fire were rained out in Fairbanks on Saturday. No make-up game has been set.
