AROUND THE HORN

• The Anchorage Glacier Pilots scored five runs in the first inning, and beat the Anchorage Bucs 7-0 at Mulcahy Stadium on Thursday.

The Pilots' Trevor Hairgrove went 5 for 5 with two runs and a stolen base. Jimmie Pharr added two RBIs and one run.

Trevor Frank earned the win, pitching five innings and striking out three. Derek Speigner pitched three innings for the save.

• The Fairbanks Goldpanners scored six runs in the fourth inning and held on for a 6-2 victory over the Athletes in Action Fire at Growden Memorial Park in Fairbanks.
