Federal prosecutors say Pricilla Finau's 51-month sentence follows her conviction of conspiring to traffic cocaine and methamphetamine.

According to prosecutors, Finau and her boyfriend, Tamafaiga Lancelot Maefau, flew to California several times in 2007 and 2008 to buy drugs and send them in packages to Juneau.

Prosecutors say postal inspectors intercepted a package mailed by Finau and Maefau to Juneau that contained one kilogram of cocaine and 282 grams of methamphetamine.

Prosecutors say the pair were fugitives for several months until they were arrested in the Los Angeles area.

Maefau was sentenced in November to six years in prison.
