FAIRBANKS -- A Fort Wainwright soldier has pleaded not guilty to two counts of distributing child pornography.

Joseph Edward Brannock was charged by federal prosecutors with knowingly seeking out and disseminating pornography across state and national lines. He entered the plea at his arraignment Friday.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports the 22-year-old Fairbanks man is in the process of being discharged from the U.S. Army.

Brannock is being held at the Fairbanks Correctional Center. A detention hearing is set for Thursday.
