The Alaska Renewable Energy Fair is scheduled today from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the Anchorage Park Strip downtown. Last year's fair attracted more than 2,500 people. This year's will feature solar and wind energy demonstrations, informational booths, hybrid and electric vehicles, children's activities, live music and workshops on the Fire Island wind turbine project, Cook Inlet tidal power and such topics as "How to Make Your Own Biodiesel" and "Make Your Home More Energy Efficient," said the Renewable Energy Alaska Project, the fair's host.
