Dimond won the five contested matches, all in straight sets, and took the remaining four by forfeit Tuesday to open the high school tennis season with a 9-0 homecourt victory over Eagle River.
Dimond singles players Rendell Burghart, Emily Klopfer and Mimi Ahn all won without surrendering a game. Dimond's Davis Sedor allowed his opponent to take just one game.

Three Alaskan tennis players are seeded at the USTA Pacific Northwest Junior Sectional Tournament in Beaverton, Oregon this weekend.
Jake Oberg of Anchorage is seeded 16th in the boys 16 division. Rendell Burghart of Anchorage is seeded 16th in the boys 18 division. Eric Ringstad of Fairbanks is seeded 11th in the boys 18 division.
