Claim to Fame: With seven No. 1 hits, Collective Soul is one of the most memorable bands of the '90s.
Fun Fact: The name of the band came from a line in Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead."

Lonestar with special guest Reckless Kelly
Claim to Fame: Lonestar has multiple platinum records, achieved massive success in the late '90s as a crossover from country to pop. Armed with new lead singer, Cody Collins, the Tennessee band will be bringing well-loved Americana group Reckless Kelly along for the ride.
Fun Fact: Lonestar was the house band on television game show The Price is Right.
Saturday, 6:30 p.m., $30-$45
.38 Special Claim to Fame: Renowned for a sound that fuses southern-fried rock with arena rock, .38 Special had a string of No. 1 hits in the '80s and maintained their popularity thanks to a hard-touring nature.
Fun Fact: Singer/guitarist Donnie Van Zant's older brother, Ronnie, was the original lead singer of Lynyrd Skynyrd. After his death in 1977, his younger brother, Johnny, took over the role.

Static Cycle
Claim to Fame: Anchorage's Static Cycle boasts a similar sound to 3 Doors Down and has been touring the nation for the past two years.
Fun Fact: Lead singer Jared Navarre lists fellow state fair performers Boyz II Men as one of his vocal influences.

Darryl Worley
Claim to Fame: With an honest approach to country music that reflects his personal beliefs, Worley has released six albums in the past decade.
Fun Fact: Worley posed nude (but not full-frontal) for July 2007's issue of Playgirl magazine.

Ricky Skaggs
Claim to Fame: Skaggs collects Grammy Awards like we collect PFDs, winning 15 over the past 27 years, mostly for his beloved bluegrass work.
Fun Fact: Attempted to audition for the Grand Ole Opry at age 7, but was told he couldn't because he was too young -- not because of his talent.

Jake and Elwood Blues Review
Claim to Fame: The only Blues Brothers tribute band sanctioned by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi's estate, Jake and Elwood Blues Review has been performing for more than 10 years.
Fun Fact: They are without a doubt the only band to have ever opened for both the Backstreet Boys and Hall & Oates. Hopefully.

Shinedown
Claim to Fame: One of the premier names in American alternative metal today, Shinedown has achieved multiplatinum success thanks to its most recent album, "The Sound of Madness."
Fun Fact: The band lists Otis Redding as a primary influence alongside Iron Maiden.

Howie Mandel
Claim to Fame: After gaining popularity creating and starring in the '90s animated television series "Bobby's World," Mandel is perhaps most well-known these days for his work on reality shows "Deal or No Deal" and "America's Got Talent."
Fun Fact: Mandel has mysophobia, an irrational fear of germs. If you run into him on the fairgrounds, do NOT try to shake his hand.

Kenny Rogers
Claim to Fame: A beloved entertainer for the past five decades, Rogers was once touted as "Favorite Singer of All-Time" in a USA Today/People poll and has ties to one of the greatest Seinfeld episodes ever -- "The Chicken Roaster."
Fun Fact: MenWhoLookLikeKennyRogers.com is a site dedicated to the phenomenon of men of a certain age who look like The Gambler.
Sunday, Sept. 5, 6 p.m., $40-$65
Boyz II Men
Claim to Fame: Tabbed as Billboard Magazine's most successful music group of the 1990s, Boyz II Men is far and away the highest selling R&B group of all time.
Fun Fact: Their 1995 single "One Sweet Day" with Mariah Carey holds the record for longest run at the top spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. It was No. 1 for 16 weeks.
