Here's what will happen this weekend:
From 8 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday, the southbound lanes between the two exits will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to one of the northbound lanes. So there will be one lane of traffic in each direction between the two exits.
Something similar will happen the following weekend, Sept. 17-20, except the northbound lanes will be closed this time and traffic detoured to one lane of the southbound Glenn, the department said.
This schedule depends on weather cooperating, the department said, and the following weekend, Sept. 24-27, will be the backup time for this work.
Motorists can expect delays and reduced speed limits through the work zone, the department said.
