JUNEAU -- Alaskans have until Sunday to register to vote for this fall's general election.

That's also the deadline for updating existing voter registration information.

The state Division of Elections said it will be open the weekend of the registration deadline to help voters. But it asked Alaskans not to wait until the last minute.

Registration can be done in a multitude of ways, including in person, by mail or fax and online.

The general election is Nov. 2.
