The Elders and Youth Conference, which takes place in advance of the Alaska Federation of Natives Convention, opens at the Carlson Center in Fairbanks today. Proceedings will be carried live from 8 a.m. to noon on ARCS -- the Alaska Rural Communications Service -- and GCI cable channels 1 and 15. The conference also will be webcast from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at www.360north.org and www.firstalaskans.org.
The coverage will be hosted by Sharon McConnell and Anna Sattler for Blueberry Productions, which will also be covering the Alaska Federation of Natives Convention and Quyana Nights performances through Saturday. The Daily News will publish more detailed schedules on each day.
