The 84th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade begins at 9 a.m. at 77th Street and Central Park West and ends at 34th Street and 7th Avenue. Watch the giant balloons and marching bands from the comfort of a warm hotel room or brave the cold and join the crowd on the street. From 3 to 10 p.m. Nov. 24, see the balloons as they get blown up near the American Museum of Natural History between 77th and 81st Streets.
Plan a family vacation and learn about Plymouth, Mass., the site of the first permanent European settlement in America and see re-enactments of 17th-century pilgrim life, with a replica of the Mayflower itself, or go on a "Twilight Lantern Ghost Tour" with Dead of Night Ghost Tours.
Voted "The Best Inn on the Eastern Seaboard," The Yankee Clipper Inn in Rockport, Mass., offers spectacular ocean views from it's rocky beaches. The art deco mansion and its manicured grounds will set the mood for a romantic getaway. Enjoy whale watching, hiking, golf and kayaking too.
