Wine of the week: 2008, Chateau Ste Michelle, Indian Wells, Cabernet Sauvignon

December 9, 2010

The 2008, Chateau Ste Michelle, Indian Wells, Cabernet Sauvignon is hard to deny. Produced with fruit in mind, it has an interesting addition of Washington state's fabulous Syrah. It does no harm and adds a rich and luscious texture. Deep in color, the nose is tight but nicely wooded. The mouth is fleshy with rich sweet black fruits and cherries. Fine grain tannins produce grip and satisfaction. This is a beautiful term drinker that is both affordable and available. Serve it up with soft cuts of beef or chocolates. Costs about $16.
