Chairman of the House State Affairs Committee Bob Lynn says that when the review is done, there's a possibility the committee might propose a measure of its own. The ongoing legislative session likely will be more than half through when the review is complete. There's no deadline on introducing bills.

The review was prompted by the U.S. Senate race, which featured an unprecedented write-in campaign by incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski. Legal challenges to the state's counting of votes held up the outcome for weeks.
