Four new shelter cabins await mushers on Iditarod Trail

The North Fork Innoko River shelter cabin was completed this summer, one of four 16-by-16-foot log cabins with wood stoves along the Iditarod National Historic Trail. This one is is near the abandoned town of Cripple on the northern route of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race taken by mushers in even-numbered years.
