The 2011 National Capital Craft Beer Festival is April 9-10 in Canberra, the capital city of Australia, with more than 80 craft beers. Local restaurants use beer in their recipes to create delicacies for the craft chef competition.
Prague is home to the Czech Beer Festival, from May 12-28. Staff in traditional Czech folk costumes serve up more than 50 brands. With a seating capacity of 10, 000 and it's own beer currency, the "Tolar," this festival promises "a selection of the best from Czech breweries, Czech chefs, butchers and bakers for you."
The Great Japan Beer Festival takes place in Tokyo from June 4-5, in Osaka from July 16-18 and in Yokohama from Sept. 17-19 and attracts over 20,000 visitors. For about $5, 000 yen, or roughly $40, you'll get to sample more than 120 local and international craft brews.
Organized by the Shakespeare Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale, the Stratford-upon-Avon Beer and Cider Festival is June 24-25, and is the birthplace of William Shakespeare.

The International Berlin Beer Festival is August 5-7 and has almost 2,000 types to choose from. More than 800,000 visitors converge on the German capital. Beer stalls, food vendors and entertainment line the streets. This years motto is "Beer Makes Us Friends." I'll drink to that!
