Absentee voting starts March 21

Absentee voting for Anchorage's April 5 municipal election starts on March 21, the city clerk's office said. Voting in person can occur March 21 through April 4 at City Hall and at the Loussac Library, and from March 27 through April 4 at the Chugiak Senior Center.

On election day, absentee ballots can be cast at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport South Terminal and at the University of Alaska Anchorage Student Center.

Absentee voting also is available by mail and fax, the clerk's office said. Applications for absentee by mail and fax can be printed from www.muni.org/elections or can be mailed to you by calling the clerk's office at 243-8683. Special needs requests can be taken by phone or mail.
