West wins two

West freshman Devonee Troutman went 6 for 6 at the plate, in a softball doubleheader at Albrecht Fields on Friday, helping the Eagles grab two big wins. They beat Dimond 16-5 and downed Homer 11-3. Troutman smacked a single, a double and a triple in the win over Dimond, with freshman Vaa Pedro adding two hits and an RBI. Sophomore Pauline Tufi went 2 for 2 with a triple, and Nikki Olsen struck out eight to get the win.

In the win over Homer, Troutman belted a home run over the fence, and freshman Erin Goudreau went 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs. Jamie Bingham added three hits and three RBIs for the Eagles.
