Nikki Olsen struck out eight and scattered four hits and the West Eagles survived a seventh-inning rally by South in Monday's 8-6 Cook Inlet Conference softball victory at Albrecht Fields.

The Wolverines broke loose for four runs in the top of the seventh to make things close. Rochelle Goulet sparked the outburst with a two-run double.
