We thank the NTSB staff and board members for their hard work.
The events of last August were devastating to our family and the families of the other victims and the survivors, but we have been buoyed by the tremendous outpouring of love and support demonstrated by Alaskans and others around the nation and, indeed, the world.
Not enough can be said about the heroic efforts of the rescue team and the wonderful people of of Bristol Bay and Dillingham who rallied to help when Ted's plane was reported missing.
We also mourn the loss of our good friend Bill Phillips, Dana and Corey Tindall, and Terry Smith.
Ted loved to fly and loved Alaska. He was committed to making aviation safe, particularly in the 49th state where it is so vital. Hopefully the recommendations by the Safety Board will further that goal.
