It took a legend to stop Eagle River's Ron Mohr in Tuesday's finals of the PBA Senior Allentown Open bowling tournament. Walter Ray Williams Jr., a seven-time PBA Player of the Year, defeated Mohr 268-168 in the championship match in Allentown, Pa. Mohr, the Senior Tour's 2009 Player of the Year, was ranked No. 1 in the Senior Tour standings going into the tournament.
Williams opened with eight consecutive strikes before leaving a 10 pin in the ninth frame. Mohr, trying for his second consecutive win this season, never managed to get anything going.
In the semifinals, Mohr defeated Hall of Famer and four-time Senior Player of the Year Tom Baker, 206-174.
