The new building will be at 4951 Business Park Boulevard, off C Street between Tudor and International Airport roads.
It's a $28.3 million project, and the center is still trying to raise the final $2.25 million.
The new center, at 42,700 square feet, will replace one in Fairview that is 15,900 square feet. It will have nearly twice as many medical exam and consultation rooms, for a total of 45, and double the number of dental rooms, with 10.
It is scheduled to open in 2012.
The center is a community health center, a not-for-profit organization that accepts Medicare, insured patients, and patients with no insurance who can pay on a sliding scale based on their income.
