JUNEAU -- The chief executive officer for Juneau's Native urban corporation is retiring.

KINY radio reported Goldbelt President and CEO Gary Droubay's retirement is effective June 30. The board has initiated a search for a replacement.

Droubay joined Goldbelt in 1998 as chief financial officer and was promoted to his current positions two years later.

Goldbelt has a workforce of 187 people in Juneau, plus employees working throughout the United States through its government contracting operations.
