Hugo processed and packed the whale for storage with other members of the Edwardsen whaling crew, which hunted the whale on May 21, 2011. Many in Barrow were planning for Nalukataq gatherings this week. Nalukataq is a traditional celebration that concludes the spring whale hunting season which features traditional food and a blanket toss.
