Produce: Vegetables such as fresh greens, zucchini and peas come from various Alaska farms beginning in midsummer. Alaska-grown storage vegetables such as carrots, beets and potatoes are provided year-round, augmented by certified organic fruits and vegetables brought up by truck from Outside starting in late fall.

Coverage area: Entire state of Alaska. Also serves Washington and parts of Idaho.
Distribution system: In Anchorage, either home delivery or customer pickup at various locations. Otherwise, customer pickup.
Produce: All certified organic. Much of it is from the Full Circle farms in western Washington. It also comes from partner farms along the West Coast and in warm weather locations, as well as from two Alaska organic farms.
Cost: $43 for a standard box in Anchorage, $4 more for home delivery. Price varies in rural areas; top end is $74 in Wainwright.

Coverage area: Anchorage, Eagle River, the Valley.
Distribution system: Customers pick items from bins brought to pickup sites.
Produce: Everything is grown at Arctic Organics farm near Palmer. Produce includes kohlrabi, beets, leeks, purple potatoes, Savoy cabbage, carrots, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, turnips, onions, fresh herbs and salad greens.
Cost: $600 for a season, which works out to $40 a week.
