Video: Russian pair first to kiteboard across the Bering Strait

Russian adventurers Konstantin Aksyonov and Evgeny Novozheev are expecting to enter the Guinness World Records book after becoming the first to kite-surf from Russia to Alaska across the Bering Strait. The 60-mile journey took them about seven hours last week, and they did it without the support team they were expecting to accompany them by boat. Their success was apparently bad news for a European kiteboard team that was hoping to be first across the strait. The Europeans were already in Nome, preparing to cross in the opposite direction.
