South eliminated from Legion baseball tournament

South Post 4 scored in double digits Monday in Roseburg, Ore., but was eliminated from the American Legion Class A Northwest Regional baseball tournament with a 21-11 loss to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The Wolverines took a 7-3 lead with a five-hit second inning that included a three-run homer from Hayden Karnos, but surrendered seven runs in the third inning. The mercy rule ended the game in the eighth inning.

Bryan Baker went 3-for-5 for the Wolverines, with Pat Enslow, Cal McKim and Andrew Martin each contributing two hits.
