Several discount opportunities are available, including:
• $2 Thursday, for tickets purchased between noon and 2 p.m.
• Six-packs, good any day, six admissions for $60 (adults) and $30 (youth and seniors) if purchased by Wednesday online at alaskastatefair.org.
• More online discounts, if purchased at alaskastatefair.org by Wed-nesday, single weekday admission is $9 for adults, $5 for youth and seniors; Friday-Sunday admission is $11 for adults, $6 for youth and seniors.
• Costco four-packs are $37.99 for adults and $24.99 for youth and seniors if purchased by Aug. 24.
• Dr Pepper Buddy Days will be on Aug. 31, and Sept. 1. You can pick up coupons at any Holiday store that will entitle you to a free ticket with the purchase of a ticket (greater or equal value) at the gate. Also, between noon and 5 p.m. on those days, your buddy rides for free when you purchase ride tickets at the carnival. No coupon is required.
• Military Discount, good any day, available on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson at Information Tickets and Travel, $9.75 for adults, $6.25 for youth and seniors.
• Kids' Day, Aug. 26. Children 12 and under can attend the Fair for free on this day.
• Family Day, Aug. 27. Free admission for children 12 and under.
• Free admission on any day for anyone turning 75 in 2011. Just show your ID at the gate.
